(Part of the Anti-Violence Campaign4Peace, an on-going project of the IHERC)
Note: Concerned artists used the thousands of toy guns and other toy weapons collected from children at our Anti-Violence Day/Peace Day events to create magnificent pieces of art powerfully communicating peace messages.
The Children’s Art Museum, Irvine’s City hall, the Culver City Library and other venues hosted an exhibit of these art pieces. Their goal was to spread the message of the dangers of gun violence using a peaceful and creative medium.
